Muscle building and weight loss menus typically differ not in their actual structure, but in the number of calories that are consumed daily.
Here are some weight loss tips. Begin by determining your current Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) using the calculator on the previous page. If your goal is to lose weight, then you have two choices. Follow the menus which are approximately the same calories as indicated through your RMR calculation and then work hard in the gym and through cardio to burn additional calories. Or, secondly, subtract a few hundred calories per day from your RMR to create a calorie deficit to help promote weight loss.

If your goal is to gain lean muscle, then add approximately 500 calories daily to this number. Keep your cardio to a minimum and maximize your strength training sessions.
