Competing Mentally

Nike TW 2014 Golf Shoes Available Now At!

Golf is a sport that has many different elements. Obviously there’s the swing and making sure your body is in perfect rhythm and harmony when you swing. Then there’s the fitness element–you need to make sure that all your muscles are healthy and operating at their peak. That means that your conditioning needs to be strong so you can last all 18 holes; flexibility is imperative so that you are able to make a complete swing; you know exactly how far you can hit each club and take into consideration the elements.

With all that in place for each and every shot, there’s one thing that can make or break your game: the mental game. We’ve seen it with the best of the best and possibly even experienced it ourselves–our mental game affecting our overall performance.

We all know how to hit a great shot. Doing so consistently is more challenging. How we react to a poor shot will dictate how we perform for the entire round.

Here’s a hangout I did with Whole Mental Golf Game Coach Wade Pearse talking about just that–how to use your competitive nature and your mental game to allow you to play your best golf.
